“From Blind to Bright: Rescued Stray Kittens with No Eyelids Receive a Second Chance at Life Thanks to Kind Hearts”

Introducing Dora and her adorable sibling Felix, two cute kittens who were found wandering on the side of the road in New South Wales, Australia. A kind-hearted couple rescued them and took them in, but soon realized that there was something quite unusual about their appearance. Concerned for their well-being, the couple brought the kittens to the RSPCA’s Blue Mountains shelter where caretakers examined them closer, revealing that they were born without eyelids.

The RSPCA NSW’s Patrick Jones has stated on his blog that Felix and Dora, two kittens, would have gone blind within a year without corrective surgery. Fortunately, the amazing veterinarians from Sydney’s Eye Clinic for Animals made the surgery possible, resulting in new eyelids for the kittens. Post-surgery, Felix and Dora are happy as can be.

As of today, Dora and Felix have reached the age of 9 months and they are still in search of a permanent residence.

According to Jones, the foster caregiver is hoping for the adoption of both individuals as a pair, but they can also flourish independently.
